Eduardo "Lalo" Herrera, a graduate student-athlete at Colorado, won the men's invitational 1,500 meters in 3:39.58 at the Fresno State Bulldog Invitational at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. It marked the second time in his career Herrera, a graduate of Madera South High in California, competed at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the site of the high school state meet.
