Roan Allen, a graduate student-athlete at Washington representing Canada, won the men's javelin throw competition with a sixth-round effort of 217-2 (66.21m) at the Fresno State Bulldog Invitational at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Allen transferred to Washington after placing second at the NAIA Outdoor Championships representing University of British Columbia.
